SWS was established by Simon and Irene Zizer commencing with one Rear Lift Vehicle, in the Sydney Market, for General Waste and Recycling in 1998.
The company has grown to be a leading waste and recycling service provider to the industry nationally, specialising in niche markets, with services to residential living, hospitality, commercial, industrial, offices and retail centres.
The growth of the company has been underpinned by exceptional customer service building a reputation for reliability in the provision of Total Waste Management Solutions and securing strong relationships with major commercial, retail and hospitality companies.
The introduction of second generation family in management and key industry experience has ensured the SWS brand has continued with the professionalism required of modern day industry demands.

1998
Sydney Waste Registered- Business Established by Simon and Irene Zizer, commencing with one Rear Lift Vehicle for general waste.
2005
Growth to six vehicles including recycling services based on key contracts building a reputation with cleaning and facility management companies in the development of key relationships.
2007
Established first waste and recycling depot at Rydalmere, Sydney, NSW. Business continues to grow securing strong relationships with major commercial, retail and hospitality companies.
2009
In February 2009 Expansion was now the focus with the introduction of son Elon Zizer in a key role for business planning and market development.
2012
SWS became sole sub contractor for Visy Recycling for all waste streams consolidating existing services for general waste and recycling.
2014
Expansion of neighbouring site at Rydalmere Depot in April 2014 to cover extensive growth.
2015
SWS reputation for reliable, family owned Australian business has grown to include service provision with front lift services
With initial venture into the national market SWS has a complete range of services for waste. The new national brand ISSE will be servicing national clients and clients in cities other than Sydney.
2017
Service provision expands beyond mainstream waste and recycling materials including Organics.
SWS procures Smithfield site to cover operational growth and future planning for state of the art resource recovery facility.
2018
October 2018 Sydney Waste Integrated Management System (IMS) formally recognised and accredited by External Auditors. ISO 9001; ISO 14001 and ASNZS 4801.
2020
Sydney Waste Services fleet includes a range of Vehicles - Hook Lift, Front End Lift and Rear End Lift. Major contracts and client base exceed 5000 and include over 15,000 services per day with over 15,000 tonnes recycled per annum.
